This magnificent Afghan Kilim is a superb example of traditional craftsmanship, expertly woven from hand-carded wool. Its composition includes a cotton warp, which provides strength and durability to this textile artwork. With a density ranging between 160,000 and 200,000 knots/sqm and a thickness of just 0.3 cm, it presents itself as a lightweight yet robust artifact, ideal for defining spaces with character.

The Kilim features an all-over design dominated by a series of large concentric diamonds that alternate along the vertical axis. These diamonds, outlined in ochre yellow and pastel blue, enclose smaller, stylized motifs typical of tribal iconography. The dark background, an almost black brown, vividly highlights the bright and varied colors of the details: coral pink, sky blue, light yellow, mint green, and orange. The presence of abrash (natural color variations in the wool) adds depth and authenticity to the rug, making each piece unique.
