Having studied industrial design at the Escuela Massana of Barcelona, Nani quickly gained recognition for her bespoke textile designs. In 1987, she launched Nanimarquina, a brand dedicated to designing, creating, and distributing rugs and textile products for homes. Her brand is built on values such as observation, innovation, and enthusiasm, with a mission to use traditional craftsmanship and techniques to craft contemporary pieces.

In a bold move in 1993, Nani Marquina relocated her manufacturing facilities to northern India, marking a significant shift. This step incorporated craftsmanship and tradition as core design concepts, further solidifying her brand's identity. Over the years, Nanimarquina has received numerous awards, including the National Design Award and the Chamber Award for Design Management. Nani herself has been recognized with awards such as the International Women's Entrepreneurial Challenge Award and the FIDEM Award for Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year.
