Mr. Soli Kelaty founded "The Asiatic Carpet Company" in 1960 to supply oriental rugs to retailers in an area of ​​London, working from his van and garage. Soli moved to his first permanent location in Finchley in 1962 and began to specialize in Indian and Chinese carpets, as well as Persian goods. In 1985 the Kelaty family was the first to take advantage of free trade between the UK and China, pushing the Asiatic Carpets company into a unique leadership position on the market.

 

For over 60 years Asiatic Carpets has been at the forefront of product development and today offers one of the widest ranges of classic and modern rugs in Europe, ranging from hand-knotted wool to trendy materials such as viscose, polyester and polypropylene.

 

The product development team with many years of experience travels around the cities of the world to be inspired by the creativity that these influences assist and channel to develop a collection of carpet with distinct characters and maintain market leadership.
